Facility Concepts was engaged to completely design and furnish the cafeteria for Colleton High School, a newly-constructed high school in Walterboro, SC.
Although this brand-new school boasted a cafeteria with over 7000 square feet, the area was expecting exponential growth in upcoming years. Floor maintenance for a school cafeteria of this size was also a concern for the school Administrators. FCI’s design and furniture selection for this project answered both of these challenges with an efficient cafeteria layout along with durable, low-maintenance furniture solutions that allowed for easy mobility and adaptability to accommodate the fluctuating numbers of the student body.
The selected seating allows janitorial staff the accessibility needed to perform floor maintenance while mobile divider walls help create multiple seating zones and can be easily rolled for cleaning or reconfiguration. Horizon fiberglass booth seating paired with our Permatuff-edged table tops deliver long lasting durability and provide accessible ADA table surfaces, helping to create a food court atmosphere. Decorative touches included large, custom wall graphics and school logos applied to our 603 series waste receptacles to help promote school spirit.
