LEAF Initiative
Leveraging Environmental Advantages for our Future
The LEAF Initiative was adopted by FCi Companies and its sub-brands, including Facility Concepts, to challenge ourselves and to help bring awareness to sustaining our environment. By delivering on best practices through its manufacturing operations and by strengthening the community between individuals and consumers, we believe we can lead by example.
Choosing Materials
We consider how all products and materials (wood, metal, foam, etc.) impact energy efficiency, waste, and water conservation, and prioritize how we manufacture.
Limiting Toxic Chemicals
We limit the amount of toxic chemicals used in our manufacturing and 98% of the wood used in our products is from certified forests and backed by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).
Reduce & Reuse Paint
We reduce paint by recovering as much powder coat paint as possible. This is achieved with reprocessing equipment used in the paint cell.
Recycled Materials
We only use recyclable or bio-degradable materials (paper, cardboard, plastic, etc.) for our packaging materials.
Recycling Steel
All of the excess steel goes to local steel shops for recycled use.
Eliminating Wood Waste
All of our excess wood material is ground up into sawdust and used locally for animal bedding at farms.
